Caught in the fog on jetskis rxtx300

Caught in fog off the coast of wales at the Gower coast on are jetskis .we did it to see how easy it was to get lost in the fog , we would pick a place to go to on the coast e.g a beach like Oxwich bay and head for it ,total wrong places each time .
I think a hand held gps would be a good investment.
Had to use a compass and mobile phone to get back.
