"We want to fix it with more transparency": Twitter CEO responds to scathing criticism by Ted Cruz

The CEOs of social media giants Twitter, Facebook and Alphabet Inc. - Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai faced a grilling by Republican senators on Wednesday alleging that the tech giants show an anti-conservative bias on their platforms.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz took Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to task during the hearing calling his platform's conduct "most egregious." Cruz pointed to Twitter censoring an article from the New York Post. Dorsey defended his company saying the post went against its policies of distributing "hacked materials."

Dorsey said his team made a "fast decision" and said they have since reversed their decision. In reaction to the criticism, Dorsey said Twitter wants to fix its mistakes "with more transparency."
