The BEST trip of my life. This is the most insane video I have ever made. Over 130 hours of editing, finally done! This is a MUST WATCH! Let me give you the full backstory…
Two months ago, I woke up, grabbed my cell phone off the nightstand and was on Instagram (as I generally do in the mornings). I saw a feed of images that were taken in some amazing locations, and I admit... I was envious. I am sure you all can relate with that 😊 So, rather then being bitter or feeling like I am “stuck” with what I have, I took to my Instagram “story” and made a series of videos expressing some ideas for some styled shooting out west in the desert. To my surprise I got a very nice response and had one of my former brides DM me expressing interest in going and modeling her amazing Berta wedding dress (one of the top designers in the world). This was HUGE! From there, I contacted a friend that I know very well out in Las Vegas who is a model, and a very successful business woman. She was able to share my plans on her IG story, and instantly I received DM’s from local models who were interested in working with me. These were some of the top models out in Las Vegas, including former Miss Nevada! Next, I decided to reach out to a few people who have expressed interest in attending a workshop of mine. I got two guys from Canada (Peter & Tom) and they were on board and helped cover a little of the cost involved as this was now becoming a pretty big trip. Shortly after this, I shot the Profoto B10 Review Video (see my other video linked above) and my good friend Maria who was the model in that video expressed interest and also wanted to go to Las Vegas and shoot with us! So, she came too! I called my good buddy Joe in Vermont for production / video help, and he and his wife were also down to come. His wife Whitney found an AMAZING makeup artist out there, and she instantly became a part of this dream team too! All in all we had 5 amazing models (4 are featured in the video), and 4 days of back to back shooting from dawn to dusk. I rented a big Air B&B we split the cost up, got a few big SUV’s and rocked out what was one of the most epic weeks of our lives! It was constant laughter, fun, shooting, learning, dinners & drinks.. none of us wanted to go home. I would be lying to you if I told you I did not crack a tear at the airport on the way home.
