Desert Survival Soap: Yucca Root And Creosote -Junkyard Fox

Today we take look at two desert plants which are known to have been used for hygiene: The Soaptree Yucca's roots are known to contain a chemical salled saponins which the natives used as a body soap , shampoo and laundry detergent. The second plant is called Creosote or greasewood, known to have antibacterial properties and when wet, makes the lovely smell of 'desert rain'.
