DIY Digital Roadbook Switch Setup | Yamaha T7 Rally Prep (Road Legal in the UK!)

Prepping my Yamaha Ténéré 700 for the RallyMoto Kielder 500 navigation rally has thrown up a massive challenge: finding a digital roadbook handlebar switch system that is reliable, affordable, and 100% road-legal.

Commercial rally navigation switches cost a fortune, and most of them require you to strip away your factory switch cluster—meaning you lose your horn, indicators, and high beams, failing your MOT.

As a professional motorcycle mechanic, I knew there had to be a better way. In this video, I’ve got the project unboxed in my office to show you the exact components I sourced to build a custom, budget-friendly, and road-legal digital roadbook switch setup that talks to a tablet via Bluetooth.
