A History of Shenington and Alkerton | Just Beyond the Cotswolds

Shenington and Alkerton lie just beyond the north-eastern tip of the Cotswolds, falling into the remit of our travel guide Herbert Evans, who wrote the Highways and Byways in Oxford and the Cotswolds in 1905.

Both villages are picturesque, with a tradition in Shenington of whitsuntide, whilst Alkerton has a lovely church.
