Canoe & Kayak Rack Build Start to Finish DIY
#prospector #canoestanddiy #kayakholder
Jim Baird: Canoe & Kayak Rack Build Start to Finish - This episode covers building a wooden canoe & kayak stand for canoe storage because it's important to have a good kayak holder. It's a pretty simple DIY project for your homestead, house, camp, or cottage. A basic kayak stand made of 2x6 boards means your boats will last longer and you'll be able to get out in your prospector to explore the canoe routes with less hassle. Do it yourself projects always comes with a sense of self-sufficiency too. I built this with my wife Tori (Tori Goes Outside on Instagram) and we searched a few canoe stand plans before beginning, eventually coming up with our own plans on how to do it. In all, it took us about four hours to build, and it was gratifying to portage the boats over to it on completion. We love building things like this and we're grateful that our rural lifestyle regularly gives us these opportunities.
