Lion cubs lounging in the South African sun

The pride’s males and females have gone off hunting overnight, leaving the cubs to fend for themselves. They instinctively know to stay quiet and on the down-low it seems. They loll in the summer sun and play quiet games with each other, but never too far from the shelter of a bush or some trees. These cubs are just a few months old, but are of varying ages, since they come from five different females. The eldest appears to have been left in charge. If/when the hunt is successful, the females of the pride will return and take the cubs to the kill to eat.
