SHADOW or SHADE - confusing English vocabulary #learnenglish

What's the difference between the words "shade" and "shadow"?
These words are very similar, but we are focusing on different things.

SHADE - away from the sun
- Can we sit in the SHADE? I'm getting a bit hot here in the sun.
- Doctors recommend staying in the SHADE on sunny days to protect your skin.
- Let's open our beach umbrella so we get a bit of SHADE.

SHADOW - the dark outline
- When the sun is shining, you can see your SHADOW on the ground.
- As the clouds passed by, the SHADOW of the building grew longer and darker.
- She noticed a mysterious SHADOW moving in the darkness.

Technically, shade is provided by something's shadow.
The shadow of a tree provides shade.
