TURBO NOISE SOUND WHINE WHEN CAR IS COLD | WHAT CAUSES AND HOW TO FIX IT

If the turbo on your car makes noise when the car is cold we will explain what causes that. New turbo was installed on this car and it was still making noise after that. We demonstrated what the turbo noise sounds like and what causes it. We took the turbo off the car to inspect it and we realized that the waste gate had some carbon built up and cause the waste gate not to close all the way as a result air was going through the waste gate when cold. After the turbo ran for 3-5 minutes the noise goes away because the waste gate warms up, the metal expands and as a result does not leak air anymore. Turbo noise is usually really hard to diagnose but it is possible. It is recommended not to drive the car before you fix the turbo noise because if the turbo fails you may need new engine.
