This is from my YouTube video about my poem called ‘HOME, forever’, which I wrote about my parents’ divorce when I was in high school. Despite trying to remain hopeful initially, sadness and anger quickly took over and came out first in the form of this poem. However, writing helped me a lot to make sense of it all and cope with how I was feeling. Throughout the poem, I reminisce on the family we used to be, try desperately to hold onto it, and fight back and forth with acceptance as I fall into this new part of my life.
