Desperate, he asked the landlord about the apartment’s history. The landlord hesitated, then confessed: years ago, a tenant had died mysteriously in that very apartment. No one ever found the body, and strange occurrences had driven residents away.

That night, the whispers became voices, chanting his name. David saw a pale figure in the corner, motionless but watching. Furniture moved on its own, lights flickered, and a cold hand brushed his shoulder. He tried to leave—but the door slammed shut, trapping him inside. The last thing he remembered was the figure whispering: *“You’re mine now.”*
