Winter Sowing Update: 4/1/2026. Things are progressing well with the winter sowing experiment and I’m finally seeing sprouts for my crops. Every seed and species grows at a different rate, so it’s important to be patient and give your plants ample time to sprout before discarding any experiments that you assume have failed. That’s why I plan on watching my milkweed crate for a few more months, even if I don’t get anything out of it. During that time, I can record things like temperature, moisture and sunlight to figure out what I need to adjust for next year. A failed experiment in gardening with only further your experience and knowledge in the long run and allow you to be more comfortable in experimenting more in the future. #education #agriculture #permaculture #gardening #wintersowing
