Why American Airlines is slowly going down? #trending
https://youtu.be/wNCYTxo5j00
December 27th, 2025. A winter storm hits the eastern United States. United cancels 200 flights. Delta cancels 180. American Airlines cancels 1,900 — in a single day. By the time it was over, American had cancelled 6,800 flights in five days. More than 43 percent of its entire schedule. United and Delta recovered within 48 hours. American was still cancelling on New Year's Eve.
This is not a story about bad weather. This is a story about two airlines that had the same opportunities, faced the same markets, and made completely opposite decisions — and why one of them is now paying for it with everything it has.
In 2025, American Airlines reported a profit margin of 0.2 percent. Delta posted 5 billion dollars in profit. For every billion dollars in revenue American generated, it kept 2 million dollars. Delta kept 79 million. Same industry. Same year. Completely different outcomes.
In this video we break down exactly how this happened — and why it matters to every American who has ever booked a flight.
