Hike with me in the Lake District: 17km Pooley Bridge to Glenridding.

I got the train up to Penrith from London, known as the gateway to the Lake District national park. It's located just outside. I based myself here, then got the bus to Pooley Bridge (Ullswater) in the lakes to hike.

Train: London Euston to Penrith. Journey time 3h. Cost £140 (yes I know).
Bus: No 508 from Penrith to Pooley Bridge. Journey time 20min.

The boat I was trying to get is the ullswater steamer. It runs between Pooley Bridge, Howtown, and Glenridding. You can prebook tickets online, or just turn up and get them there.
