India-Bound LPG Tanker Breaks Through Hormuz Amid US Blockade, Heads To Visakhapatnam

An India-linked LPG carrier, MT Sarv Shakti, has successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz, marking a rare transit amid a weeks-long US blockade that sharply reduced regional shipping. Sailing under the Marshall Islands flag, the vessel is carrying 46,313 tonnes of LPG and is en route to Visakhapatnam, where it is expected to arrive on May 13. The cargo can meet nearly half a day’s domestic demand, helping ease supply pressures amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. Chartered by Indian Oil Corporation, the tanker is the first India-linked vessel to pass through the conflict-hit route in weeks.
