Tovino Thomas's latest Malayalam film, Narivetta, has officially released in theaters  May 23, 2025.  Directed by Anuraj Manohar and written by Abin Joseph, the film is a political action drama inspired by the 2003 Muthanga incident in Kerala, where police action against tribal protesters led to significant controversy.

Narivetta centers around Varghese, an armed police constable portrayed by Tovino Thomas, who becomes entangled in a conflict between state authorities and a tribal community.  The narrative delves into themes of state-sponsored violence, bureaucratic exploitation, and the resistance of marginalized communities.  The film's trailer highlights intense confrontations and the tribals' opposition to systemic oppression.
