Build a Raspberry Pi Security Camera Network

In this tutorial we build a Raspberry Pi security camera using a software package called motionpie. This allows us to setup multiple cameras on the same Pi and also hook network cameras all under the same interface.

You will need to use an Ethernet cord when first setting this up. Once you have done the initial setup you can turn on WiFi and then you can simply use the WiFi dongle for the network connection.

For camera choices you can use either a webcam, the Raspberry Pi camera or even both. You can also add network cameras where you can access their stream (Most third party security WiFi cameras offer this).

There is a lot of setting that you can set in motionpie and I only briefly go into them in this video. If you want to find out more about all the settings, you can check out my tutorial that I have linked above. This should have all the information you need!
