When Companies Claim “Award Winning Support” …

Mailchimp calls their customer support team "award winning" five times on their "Why Mailchimp" page.

And you might be wondering, what does "award winning" even mean?

Well Mailchimp won the "prestigious Stevie Awards."

But if you research the Stevie Awards, you'll discover it's not that prestigious.

The awards show was founded as a way to "restore public confidence" after the Enron scandal.

Companies have to pay $500 to be considered, there are hundreds of categories and up to 40% of companies win an award.

Which makes this basically the participant badge of corporate award shows.

So, congratulations to Mailchimp and all the other winners at the Stevies.
