First Time Setting Up My Zpacks Solo Plex | PCT 2026 Gear Test

Getting ready for my 2026 Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike and setting up my Zpacks Solo Plex tent for the very first time.

After sleeping in a hammock for my entire Appalachian Trail thru-hike in 2024, switching to an ultralight trekking pole tent is definitely a learning curve.

The Solo Plex is under a pound and made from Dyneema, making it a great shelter option for long distance hikers.

This was my first attempt setting it up, so if you notice anything I could improve, drop your tips and tricks in the comments.
