Heart attack survivor at Medical City Las Colinas

Mike Edwards, heart patient, lived an overall healthy life until one day, when working as a pedicab driver, he collapsed. Fortunately, his passengers knew CPR, called 911, and he was brought to our facility for life-saving care. Coming in with a heart attack and cardiac arrest, Mike received high-quality care in our ER. Srinivas Yallapragada, MD, cardiologist at Medical City Las Colinas, put in two stents to repair Mike's clogged arteries.

Mike shared that while preparing for his procedure, the OR team and Dr. Yallapragada let him pick his surgery song. Mike chose the Rocky theme song, "Gonna Fly Now." Every time Mike goes in for his heart check with Dr. Yallapragada, he plays that song.
