BEYOND - Buddhist and Christian Prayers

On the album BEYOND, Tina's voice crowns the Buddhist and Christian songs by Dechen Shak-Dagsay and Regula Curti. Inspired by old and new writings by masters from different cultures, as well as her very personal spiritual experience, Tina Turner formulates spoken messages, which are melodiously combined with the singing. Born a Baptist, and for some years now an avowed Buddhist, Tina Turner is still a role model for millions of women. To this day, many people draw courage and vitality from her voice.

At the recent album launch event at Lake Zurich, Tina Turner shared with us what has helped her personally to get through many a painful phase over the years: "Since my childhood, I have tried to grow spiritually and to take the right path. It is important that every single one of us finds this, their own path, regardless of faith or religious denomination. It is the only way to find inner balance." In particular, the repeated recitation of mantras has helped her a great deal in this regard.

Inspiriert durch alte und neue Schriften von Meistern unterschiedlicher Kulturen und ihrer ganz persönlichen spirituellen Erfahrung formuliert Tina Turner gesprochene Botschaften, die mit dem Gesang auf klangvolle Weise vereint werden.

Als Baptistin geboren und seit einigen Jahren bekennende Buddhistin, ist Tina Turner noch immer ein Vorbild für Millionen von Frauen. Ihre Stimme schenkt bis heute vielen Menschen Mut und Lebensfreude. Beim kürzlich am Zürichsee stattgefundenen Album-Launch-Event lässt Tina Turner uns daran teilhaben, was ihr in all den Jahren persönlich über so manche schmerzhafte Phase hinweg geholfen hat:

"Seit meiner Kindheit habe ich versucht, spirituell zu wachsen und den richtigen Weg zu gehen. Entscheidend ist, dass jeder einzelne von uns diesen eigenen Weg findet, unabhängig vom Glauben oder der Religionszugehörigkeit. Nur so lässt sich das innere Gleichgewicht finden".

So hat ihr insbesondere das wiederholte Rezitieren von Mantras dabei sehr geholfen.
