The Hekima Series on Solutions for a New Africa: Professor Wole Soyinka
Under the theme "Catalyzing Change in Africa Beyond COVID-19" Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka shares his thoughts on Africa's path beyond the pandemic.
The 1986 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature Professor Wole Soyinka joins Assistant Administrator and Director, UNDP Regional Bureau for Africa Ahunna Eziakonwa in the inaugural Hekima Series dialogue.
Hekima – which means “wisdom” in Swahili is organized as part of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Africa’s African Influencers for Development Initiative (#AI4Dev), which brings together leaders in business, academia and the arts to drive sustainable development across the continent.
The #HekimaSeries will explore new ideas and solutions to influence more people-centric policies to combat the impact of COVID-19 on African people and societies, to support a back to better sustainable development agenda on the continent.
