My Philip Kubicki bass was made in 2004, and I got it second hand in 2005 from a local luthier. The bass is one of the rate Kubicki Key 5 string bass. the bass was apparently upgraded to have the newer 18v 6 position pre-amp, which is uncommon on the 5 string basses Kubicki was producing. The body is Alder and the fretboard a beautiful East Indian Rosewood, with a very stable Maple neck.

I had the opportunity to exchange emails with Philip Kubicki himself after I bought it. He was really nice and helpful. Such a shame we lost him a few years later. Carla Klark has been incredibly helpful and kind with subsequent support and questions over the last few years.
