President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Astana on October 20 for a state visit and was welcomed with an official ceremony by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

A guard of honor marched before the two leaders as the national anthems played. The visit underscores the deepening strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, with the two countries set to hold the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council to enhance cooperation in trade, transport, energy, and culture.
