NETHERLANDS our hometown Doetinchem (Gelderland)

Doetinchem is situated in the east of The Netherlands about 12 km from the German border. First recordings of Doetinchem were in the year 838 and the town became city rights ad 1236. There are about 50.000 inhabitants. Around the centre of the town there are several older buildings but the historic centre itself was destroyed in March 1945 by bombs. Doetinchem still have three working mills and nearby you will find a castle. The video starts with a introduction of the town centre and after that some old and new quarters of the town.
