In this video we will derive the particle in a box wavefunctions and energy eigenvalues. The wavefunctions are determined by starting with the Schrodinger equation, guessing the general functional form of the solution, and then applying the correct boundary conditions. The energy eigenvalues are also derived through the application of boundary conditions and some algebra.
