After finishing a drawing, I always spray fixative to help protect the oil pastel surface from smudging and dust over time.

Spraying your oil pastel artwork helps keep the textures and pigments in place so they don’t easily fall off. 🎨✨ But if the artwork gets accidentally rubbed or heavily smudged, some pigment and texture can still come off because oil pastels stay soft by nature.

I love preserving every texture, every little detail, and all the layers that make oil pastel art feel so alive! 💛 🎨

Once it dries, I carefully frame the artwork or place it into a protective sleeve to keep it safe! ❤️✨
