• FEATURED in this video I’m sharing the contents of my Classroom Bleeding Control Kit. Every Monday, I open it and refamiliarize myself with the contents. We have 36 weeks of school, so I'll go through this routine about 40 times. I'm finding that every time I conduct my review, I am more and more aware of exactly where each bleeding control supply item is, if anything catches on the zippers or elastic bands, or if anything needs to be positioned differently.

I'm a firm believer in repetition, especially these days with all the information we process in a single week. When we go diving, before every dive, we review the hand signals. Before we conduct any target practice on the range, we review our "hot range" and "cold range" signals and procedures for reloading. Every time before I leave the dock for a sail, I check the anchor, engine, bilges, and safety equipment.

I purchased everything in this kit with my own funds. I'm a teacher, and a sailboat captain, cyclist, SCUBA diver, and runner. You could say I like being prepared.
