Life growing up in a small town isn't always easy.

A child of a mixed race marriage, Kelsey Adam suffered from bullying and depression as a young girl, which lead her to drug and alcohol abuse, also losing her father at a young age to cancer.

After going to rehab in 2017, today she is happy, healthy and sober, acting as an advocate for mental health and well being in the local community - with the natural environment of her home town of Revelstoke helping her to overcome her personal mental health battles and addictions.

Kelsey shares her story with us in "The Revelstoke Diaries" as she aims to encourage others from small town communities tackling tough issues that there is light and hope at the end of the tunnel.
