In this first lesson for High School Chemistry Chad provides an introduction to chemistry and matter. This includes a variety of concepts and vocabulary we use in describing matter including the following:

-the phases (or states) of matter
-chemical properties and changes vs physical properties and changes
-elements vs compounds
-pure substances vs mixtures
-homogeneous vs heterogeneous mixtures
-intensive vs extensive properties
