Witcher Stories - Yennefer of Vengerberg (Part 1/3) (Witcher Lore)

While this was definitely a lot of work to make - a lot of that work involved reading the Witcher book series again while making notes. Not exactly terrible work. :p (Also rendering took 2 days, quite literally)

So this is the first of many, many Witcher video's. I intend to delve into the background of each of the Witcher characters, both main characters and side characters, and tell you their story. A lot of the background information on each character you meet in the game is lost on gamers that didn't read the books and they're all so very diverse I felt they needed a proper spotlight.

I decided to start with Yennefer of Vengerberg as opposed to Zoltan Chivay (my original plan) because I felt that I should open the series with a major character. Yennefer has long been one of my favourites even though you don't meet her in the games until the Witcher 3 game. This made it seem like Triss was always Geralt's main love interest and it certainly feels that way if you jump into the game without prior knowledge. But there's more to the Geralt, Yennefer, Triss love triangle than you know - although of course you won't get to see Triss' part in this until I get to her story. I hope you enjoy this first part though and if you have any questions so far, let me know!

There's going to be about 3 parts to tell Yennefer's story, she IS a main character after all. This first part contains Yennefer's story from book 1 to book 3 [chronologically speaking].

My Witcher lore videos are not meant to replace playing the game series or reading the books. Seriously, the novels are really good and I couldn't possibly convey every detail by just telling you about the events and characters. Go read the books, play the games, then come back to tell me how awesome the Witcher series is.
