Disney: Nelson Peltz's Trian Partners seeking two seats on board

Activist investor Nelson Peltz's Trian Partners is seeking multiple seats on Disney’s (DIS) board. It comes after the company announced Morgan Stanley Chairman and CEO James Gorman and veteran media executive Sir Jeremy Darroch will be joining the board next year. In a statement, Trian says those appointments "will not, in our view, restore investor confidence or address the root cause behind the significant value destruction and missteps that this Board has overseen." Disney, meanwhile, points to Peltz's partnership with a former Disney executive as a reason for shareholders to reject Trian's bid.
