London: TfL Rail at Liverpool Street and Stratford

Today we take a look at TfL Rail services traveling out of London Liverpool Street.

TfL Rail commenced operation in May 2015 when it took over service from Abellio Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield east of London. It forms the first stage of Crossrail and will be rebranded as such in 2017 with the arrival of brand new Class 345 rolling stock.

The line is currently operated by somewhat old Class 315 EMUs, which are in service since the 1980s.

In this film we first take a look at the beautiful London Liverpool Street station; we then go to the tracks from which TfL Rail is running. The second part of the film shows Stratford station (the first stop of TfL Rail trains after Liverpool Street). Besides TfL Rail services, we also see some Central Line London Underground services calling at the station.

Enjoy!
