Field Yates’ latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft has the Vikings selecting Texas CB Jahdae Barron. Minnesota lost veterans Shaquill Griffin and Stephon Gilmore, leaving depth concerns at corner. Barron, one of the most instinctive players in the class, brings elite ball production with 5 interceptions and 10 pass breakups last season. He’s known for his versatility and football IQ, making him a great fit for Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

Bruce Feldman’s latest mock goes a different route—slotting in Nick Emmanwori, the 6’3”, 220-pound safety from South Carolina. Emmanwori is a physical freak with a 43-inch vertical and 4.38 40-yard dash, racking up 88 tackles, 4 INTs, and 2 pick-sixes in 2024. South Carolina DC Clayton White compared him to five-time Pro Bowler Adrian Wilson. With Harrison Smith entering the final stretch of his career, Emmanwori would be a future enforcer for Minnesota’s defense.
