US Navy Authorized to Engage Iranian Mine-Layers in Strait of Hormuz

President Trump has authorized the US Navy to use force against any Iranian boats laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon has seized a second Iranian oil tanker in under a week, and Iran's Revolutionary Guard has seized three commercial ships transiting the strait.
Trump stated the US has "total control of the Strait of Hormuz" and said no ship would enter or leave without US Navy approval. Peace talks in Islamabad have stalled. The naval blockade enters Day 11.
Europe is scrambling to produce jet fuel as 20% of the world's oil flows through this 21-mile strait.
