FULL INTERVIEW: Grant funds university research on natural disasters

The University of Oregon is receiving a nearly $500,000 grant to help fund research into natural hazards like landslides, floods, and wildfires over the next five years.

The program is called "CLASH," which stands for Center for Land Surface Hazards.

It’s a collaboration between the University of Michigan and other universities like UO.

Their mission is to connect the dots between natural disasters and surface land hazards.
