JAMAICA 2020 | TRAVEL VLOG | We Found RALPH LAUREN'S Summer Home @ Round Hill Resort

First of all, we hope all of you are taking it easy at home and staying safe during the global crisis we're facing right now. We know things can get really challenging being home for such a long time, but we are all here doing the same thing so don't get too down! This is going to get better as long as we all do our part to care for one another by staying home and watching YouTube / Netflix until 5am lol ... Hope this vlog and any of our others will help to keep your sanity.

So this vlog was one of our first vlogs ever and we never got around to editing it because, well watch until the end and you'll get a better picture. This was July 2018 and we were just getting into the full swing of the whole travel vlogging thing so sorry for the limited amount of content and shortness of the video.

However, that doesn't mean it wasn't an incredible trip. We spent 11 days in Jamaica and traveled 2 hrs from Montego Bay to Whitehouse on the south side of the island to spend our first few days at Sandals South Coast. We spent most of our time there practicing with our new equipment and not actually vlogging that resort because we knew the real prize was where we were headed next. Not saying Sandals isn't good either! It's an incredible resort and we highly recommend it to anyone headed to Jamaica!

Round Hill was what we had our sights set on. This was far and away the most beautiful and refined place we've ever been. Even to this day we have yet to find a resort in the Caribbean that tops it. From the private peninsula it inhabits to the cottages and villas it proudly holds high above the crystal blue waters, this place is a dream destination.

For Old Hollywood, this was the resort of choice. Celebrities from all over the world visited or owned a property here, coming back year after year. Grace Kelly, John F. Kennedy, and Paul Newman all vacationed here multiple times and JFK even took a short vacation before his inauguration in 1960 for the presidency, practicing his famous speech in the living room of Cottage 25. And to make things a little more interesting, Oscar Hammerstein wrote The Sound of Music here in Villa 12, after meeting the real-life Maria von Trapp on property.

Most notably, these days, Ralph Lauren, who designed and furnished the hotel and many of the villas, vacations here multiple times a year to stay at one of his 2 residences on property. We were able to get a glimpse of them too as you'll see in the vlog. Some of the world's most luxurious vacation properties sit right here on this beautiful peninsula right outside of Montego Bay and we can't wait to return one day soon to get you guys a full review of the place.
