Christophe Choo of the Christophe Choo Real Estate Group at Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills takes you on a quick tour of the Mega Mansions and Estates and Bel Air Homes & Bel Air Real Estate on Bel Air road from the faux gates at Sunset Boulevard.

Hi there, I'm Christophe Choo with the Christophe Choo Real Estate Group at Caldwell Banker in Beverly Hills [California]. And today I'm going to take you on a tour through the faux gates of Bel Air- the East Gate, and a tour, specifically, of Bel Air Road.
So we're just about to enter the East Gate of Bel Air, this is the ["faux gates"], meaning that they're gates into the community, but they're not locked and patrolled.
And we're now on Bel Air Road, coming into Bel Air. We're now in the lower section of Bel Air and this part of Bel Air is the priciest portion- it's the southeastern part of Bel Air.
We're heading up Bel Air Road. This particular section is very large estates, typically at least 1 acre in size. There are a few smaller ones, but generally at least one acre or larger. Many, many famous dignitaries, business moguls, and even ex-presidents lived on this street.
We're just passing St. Cloud. It's just a really beautiful neighborhood. Again, as many of these upper-end residential communities, there's not much you can see from the street. Up here to the left that was a lot that was sold a number of years ago and they built two separate houses on that property
Here we are continuing up Bel Air Road. And once again, the lower portion of Bel Air Road is the priciest and most expensive as it goes up towards the top further away from Sunset Blvd, prices tend to get a little bit lower.

So we're still here in the prime area and we're about to arrive at one of the most beautiful homes here in the city of Los Angeles: the Kirkeby Estate. It was the home of the Beverly Hillbillies- you all remember that show from the 60's and 70's? Well behind these hedges and gates here is the estate, and there to the right is the Reagan property. Nancy Reagan lives there, the Reagans both lived there after they left the White House and moved back to Bel Air.
Right here to our right there's 13 acres of land. Jerry Perenchio purchased that property quite a number of years ago, and subsequently bought the 3 adjacent lots, and has built and completed a major, major estate here in Los Angeles. Off to our left is a home that sold recently for about $18 million
We're continuing here up on Bel Air Road. These are the original gates for the Beverly Hillbilly show. Mr. Perenchio purchased the adjacent lots- as we continue this is all still his property.
We now enter on Nimes Road, which is over by Elizabeth Taylor's home. There's a very, very long, curved driveway that's behind these hedges here, so that you basically have about maybe a 1/2 mile, 3/4 mile approach from the entrance gates up to the front door and it's quite a spectacular presentation.
Incredible home, he kept the original architecture of the home and he hired Henri Samuel, one of the premiere French decorators in Paris to come out when he purchased the home to completely renovate the interior and bring it [what it deserves].
So, as we're now a little bit towards the upper section of Bel Air prices tend to be a little bit lower, there's a little bit more of a mixture of types of homes, although one her just sold recently in the $20 million dollar range to my left. Lots of new construction going on here.
But up here there are homes as low as about $1.5-$1.6 million for an older 60's contemporary tear down kind of situation, as we go up here on the upper part of Bel Air Road.
So we're continuing along it's relatively straight street from Sunset [Blvd.], little bit of curves here and there but very private. Now as we're up in the upper section, some of these homes have really incredible views of downtown, to the ocean, to the mountains, just depending on how the property's situated.
