Nature adventure in Kerala, India

A glimpse of our 12-day nature-culture trip to Kerala, India. What you will see on the video is the nature side of our trip -- it starts with a glimpse of the 'Cheena vala' (old Chinese fishing nets) at the Old Fishing Village in Fort Kochi.

We wanted to see tigers so we went camping at the Periyer Tiger Reserve. We camped for two nights, where during the day we would explore and walk through the jungle (of course, with guides) to look for tigers. We did not see a tiger, but we did see a lot of wildlife, including a mother and baby elephant, and then some more.

We also visited the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, where we also did some kayaking. And of course, no trip to Kerala would be complete without experiencing, and spending the night (in our case), in the backwaters of Allepey aboard a houseboat.
