OBERLIN STAGE LEFT: David Bowlin and Tony Cho Perform Strauss' Violin Sonata

Violin professor David Bowlin and pianist Tony Cho had planned to join forces for a full recital in Warner Concert Hall in April 2020. That show couldn’t go on as planned due to Covid-19 and large gathering bans but was featured on Oberlin Stage Left. Join Bowlin and Cho for a performance of Richard Strauss’ warmly romantic Sonata for Violin and Piano which was inspired by the composer's love affair with his eventual wife, singer Pauline de Ahna. The concert will be preceded by an introduction of the piece by Bowlin.
