Modi in G7 Summit: छह सालों में ऐसा पहली बार होगा जब प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी G7 सम्मेलन में शामिल नहीं होंगे. 15 जून से 17 जून के बीच कनाडा के अल्बर्ट में जी7 देशों की बैठक होगी, लेकिन अभी तक आधिकारिक तौर पर भारत को आमंत्रण नहीं आया है. हालांकि, इसकी भी पूरी संभावना है कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी कनाडा नहीं जाएंगे. खासतौर पर तब जब भारत को अभी भी यकीन नहीं है कि कनाडा की नई सरकार खालिस्तानी अलगाववादियों के बारे में उसकी चिताओं को लेकर बात सुनेगी.

टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार जी7 के लिए कनाडा के स्पोक्सपर्सन ने इस बात की पुष्टि नहीं की कि भारत को सम्मेलन के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाएगा. साल 2023 से भारत और कनाडा के बीच तनाव काफी बढ़ गया है, जिसके चलते पूर्व कनाडाई पीएम जस्टिन ट्रूडो ने भारत को लेकर काफी तल्ख रवैया भी अपनाया था. इस साल अल्बर्ट के कनानसकिस में कनाडा जी7 समिट का आयोजन करने वाला है. कनाडा ने गेस्ट लिस्ट को लेकर कोई ऐलान नहीं किया है कि उसने किस-किस को आमंत्रित किया है, लेकिन कनेडियन मीडिया में कई रिपोर्ट्स हैं कि दक्षिण अफ्रीका, यूक्रेन, ऑस्ट्रेलिया और ब्राजील को आधिकारिक निमंत्रण भेजा जा चुका है.

जी7 में कनाडा, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, इटली, जापान, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका सदस्य देश हैं. इस साल समिट में यूरोपियन यूनियन और कई और देशों के शामिल होने की उम्मीद की जा रही है. भारत और कनाडा में तनाव के बीच प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के जी7 में जाने को लेकर कोई जानकारी नहीं है.

साल 2023 से दोनों देशों के बीच काफी दूरियां आ चुकी हैं. तत्काल ट्रूडो सरकार ने खालिस्तानी आतंकी हरदीप सिंह निज्जर की हत्या में भारत का हाथ होने का आरोप लगाया था, जिसके आज तक कोई सबूत उनकी तरफ से नहीं दिए गए. भारत सरकार ने भी उनके इन आरोपों को खारिज कर दिया था. अब देखना ये है कि क्या नए कनाडाई प्रधानमंत्री मार्क कार्ने की सरकार भारत के साथ रिश्तों को सुधारने की कोशिश करेगी और खालिस्तानी अलगाववादियों को लेकर उसकी चिंताओं पर गौर करती है या नहीं.
