Boris Johnson doesn't rule out lockdown beyond December 2

Sir Keir Starmer pressed Boris Johnson at PMQs on why the Prime Minister took so long to bring in the second national lockdown, and whether it will end on December 2 regardless of results.

While he hoped the R-rate could be brought below 1, Boris Johnson did not rule out an extension, saying instead he would 'hope very much be able to get the country going again'.

The Prime Minister also added that the House of Commons will decide whether or not to extend the measures.
