The Happy Human | Gopi Kallayil | TEDxPaloAlto

As the Chief Evangelist of Brand Marketing at Google, an avid yoga practitioner and teacher and the author of The Happy Human and The Internet to the Inner-net, Gopi Kallayil embodies holistic views of optimization and mindful balance. He has spoken at TEDxBerkeley, Renaissance Weekend, The World Peace Festival and Wisdom 2.0, released two music albums titled Nectar of Devotion and Precious Jewels and hosts a TV program on cable and YouTube called Change Makers.

In prior roles at Google, Kallayil led the marketing team for the company's flagship advertising product, AdWords, in the Americas and Asia Pacific and headed the marketing team for AdSense, Google's publisher-facing product. Prior to joining Google, Kallayil was on the management team of two Silicon Valley venture-funded startups. While a consultant with McKinsey & Co, he worked on engagements, helping the management teams of large corporations improve business performance and maximize revenues. He has also led large information technology projects for global corporations in India, China and the United States.

A graduate of the National Institute of Technology in India, with two master degrees from the Indian Institute of Management and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Kallayil holds a guest faculty position teaching brand marketing at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation.
