Henhouse Cafe has the biggest pancakes you've ever seen | Check, Please! Arizona
A family-friendly spot serving up comfort food, Henhouse Cafe is a local-owned cafe with a wide array of delicious, Southern-themed dishes served up at their four Valley locations.
"We just wanted families to show up and enjoy home-cooked food," Brett Grebe, Vice President of Henhouse Cafe said. "We want to give the best service we can."
An ideal breakfast and brunch spot, the family-style environment alongside the comforting breakfast food presents a great way to start your day off right. "Check, Please! Arizona" guest Abby Jones loves the lively environment of Henhouse that is perfect for her family, and highlighted the appeal of the cuisine. "It's always feel-good food," Jones said.
On the menu you can find Henhouse spins on classic breakfast dishes, with sweet options such as their bananas foster French toast and their pancakes, as well as their signature savory dishes.
Guest Andrew Kolikoff thoroughly enjoyed the morning meatloaf, describing it as a "memorable breakfast," and noting the homemade quality of the dish. Guest Natalie Gentry sampled the "Texas Benedict," one of the customized eggs benedict dishes that Henhouse offers, combining a classic eggs benedict with slow-cooked pork.
The decor of the friendly environment reminds Gentry of a classic country diner, and Grebe described it as "shabby country chic." Jones' pro tip: Try and arrive before 9 to make sure you get a table.
