Old trailer - should you restore an old boat trailer or buy a new trailer?

Old boat trailer restoration. Is it worth the time and cost to restore an old boat trailer to working condition? Is it really worth it to spend money to repair an old trailer? My boat came with a trailer that needed work. Instead of buying a new trailer, or one in much better condition, I started fixing the things on my old boat trailer and maybe that was a mistake! Many of the repairs were very easy to do but I'm not sure they were worth doing. I made some stupid mistakes along the way - learn from me and do yours better or just replace it with a new trailer!
