My Hair Journey Transition to Natural
I wore my hair relaxed for a solid 15 years before transitioning to natural. My last relaxer was March 2011. I did the Big Chop on August 30, 2011. This video shows a progression from 2003 to April 2014. I selected 2003 when my hair was at its longest length, and over the years the length gradually got shorter. I am not sure if I experienced excessive damage or if my stylist was cutting too much off.
I love my natural hair journey. I am still discovering what my hair can do. I hope to share tips of how others can do more with their hair than imagined possible when the limitations are removed.
