Buffy/Giles- This I Promise You

This song is just so beautiful and perfectly describes Buffy’s relationship with Giles. This video is to focus on a more father daughter relationship rather than a romantic one. The song describes giving strength, hope and being a guardian. I have always believed Giles to be more of a father figure in Buffy’s life because she is not afraid to confront him.

Basically the video starts by showing Buffy going to Giles because she is upset about Angel and the lies with Xander and Cordelia. Giles is there to comfort her but when Buffy goes up against Spike an explosion takes her life. In a way it takes away Giles’s to because she is like the daughter he never had. The end of the video shows him coping and just becoming lost in her memory.
