A deal to address the climate crisis has been agreed at the COP26 Summit in Glasglow with a last-minute compromise on coal.

In negotiations that extended roughly a day past the original November 12th deadline, India and China both pushed to water down the wording around the use of coal, asking countries to "phase-down" unabated coal use rather than "phase-out."
