BEST RAID FOR BEDROCK 1.21!!!
What is a Raid Farm?
A Raid Farm is a Minecraft farm designed to repeatedly trigger and complete raids—the in-game event where waves of illagers attack a village. These farms are used to automatically farm emeralds, enchanted books, totems of undying, and other rare loot from raid mobs like Evokers, Pillagers, and Vindicators.
⸻
How It Works
The basic idea is to:
1. Trigger a raid by gaining the Bad Omen effect (from killing a Pillager Captain).
2. Use a designated “village” to trigger the raid.
3. Funnel and kill the raid mobs using fall damage, lava, or player-triggered traps (for XP drops and loot).
4. Repeat the process by having access to a nearby Pillager Outpost to kill another Captain.
⸻
Key Components
1. Pillager Outpost (Captain Farm)
• You’ll need a nearby Pillager Outpost or Pillager spawning platform to kill Captains and get Bad Omen.
• Use a trap or spawning pad with a filter to keep regular Pillagers and isolate the Captains.
• A looting sword is recommended to maximize Bad Omen chance and loot.
2. “Village” Setup
• A “village” consists of at least one bed and one villager.
• Place the villager in a secured chamber high above the ground, out of reach of raiders.
• The farm must be in a spawn-proof area around the village so mobs only spawn where you want them to.
3. Raid Spawn Platforms
• Build platforms around the village chamber where raid mobs can spawn.
• Use water currents, trapdoors, or pathfinding tricks to funnel mobs into kill chambers.
• Some advanced farms use nether portals to teleport mobs and kill them with stacked portals or lava systems.
4. Kill Chamber
• Mobs are funneled into a kill zone where they can be:
• Dropped into lava or fall damage traps.
• Killed by a player using a looting sword (for best loot).
• Collected by hoppers into chests.
• You can automate or semi-automate this depending on your design.
5. Loot Storage System
• Connected to the kill chamber via hoppers or water streams.
• Optional: use item sorters to separate totems, emeralds, enchanted books, etc.
⸻
Efficiency Tips
• Build the farm high in the sky or over an ocean biome to reduce other mob spawns.
• Keep the area around the farm spawn-proofed to prevent raid mobs from spawning outside designated platforms.
• Use Hero of the Village effect (granted after winning a raid) to get massive trades and gifts from villagers.
• Some farms can generate 1,000+ emeralds per hour and dozens of totems.
⸻
Materials Needed (General Estimate)
• Beds, workstations, and at least 1 villager
• Redstone for automation (optional)
• Building blocks (scaffolding, glass, stone, etc.)
• Hoppers, chests, dispensers, lava buckets
• Water buckets, trapdoors, slabs
• Looting sword and armor for safety
⸻
Optional Upgrades
• Add nether portal mechanics to move mobs faster.
• Use automatic Captain killing chamber to refresh Bad Omen without effort.
• Create a multi-platform raid trigger system to stack multiple raids for faster farming.
